Autobiography

ABOUT

THE JOUNI SO FAR

My beginning as a legally recognized individual occurred on May 23, 197-(GEMINI) in Idiaraba, Mushine, in Lagos-State, in my grandmothers house, which still exists.

Of course I can't consciously remember anything from the first two or three years of my life after birth. (And, also, one suspects, psychologically, that the earliest memories have become "memories of memories" and are comparable to traditional folk tales passed on by tellers and listeners from generation to generation.) But facts are available when direct memory fails for many circumstances.

For about six years I lived in Enugu State, where I learnt to appreciate the works of nature and the taste of good food. There I passed through Primary school... but later moved back to Lagos where I completed my Pry School. Because of my quest for Knowledge I quickly moved to AJAO ESTATE HIGH SCHOOL ANTHONY for my Secondary Education.... fun where those years.

My father was an automobile engineer and base in Enugu southeast Nigeria where he work for the automobile company there, which was and is the Levnteis Nigeria Limited. He was a veteran of Mezedis- Benze Trucks (911) and had served in maintenance services. He was originally from Lagos and had obtained his Advance Trade Test Certificate Federal Technical College (FTC).

My mother, originally Roseline Idowu Orobo Okun, (RIO) but called Roseline, was herself also born in Idiaraba. She had studied at Idiaraba High School before getting married, But my mother's later life was considerably affected by a partially. (Some private issue)

Her parents had come as a couple to Lagos from their original homes in Igbanke (Oredo LGA), now Orihiowon Local Government Area. Her father, Mr. Williams Azienke Okun, had prepared as a Laboratory attendant at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) in Idiaraba- Mushine Lagos, Lagos was then expanding rapidly in population. But in his later years Mr. Okun became more of a Farmer and left actual Lab.  practice. I had good memories of my grandfather and grandmother before the former died in 1991, my grandmother is a Native Gynecologist, located in Gbagada.

Lewis, was born about four and a half years later than me on July 16, 1980.

In 1983, November 18th, to be precise another member was added to the family and was called Imahia.

My only sister, Gloria, joined the family on October 30th 1985.

I went to Araromi Primary schools in Gbagada-Lagos but also to a kindergarten before starting in the elementary school level. And my parents provided an encyclopedia, Compton's Pictured Encyclopedia that I learned a lot from by reading it as a child. And also there were other books available from either our house or the house of the neighbors that were of educational value.

Gbagada, a small city in a comparatively remote geographical location in the Lagos, was a community of scholars but not of high technology. It was a center of businessmen, lawyers, etc. that owed its existence to the Express road and the rich nearby Ocean of Atlantic. So, from the intellectual viewpoint, it offered the sort of challenge that one had to learn from the world's knowledge rather than from the knowledge of the immediate community.

By the time I was a student in high school I was reading the classic "Nigeria Biafran War. " by Alexander Madibo.

I also did automobile and chemistry experiments at that time. At first, when asked in school to prepare an essay about my career, I prepared one about a career as an automobile engineer like my father. Later, when I actually entered Federal Technical College in Yaba I entered as a student with the major of electronics engineering.

Regarding the circumstances of my studies at Federal Science and Technical College, I was not lucky to be there on a scholarship, as no organization in Nigeria cater or should I say care to look toward the Technical Students.

But before I was admitted into FSTC I got a Diploma in Computer Engineering, I have been learning facts about how well one could handle a solding iron, multi-meter and perform a components troubleshooting in the laboratory/workshop. When I graduate I hope to continue a course in computer-electronics.

I should mention that I am in my last year (2004/2005) in the FTSC, that my parents had arranged for me to take a degree courses at the University, I had advanced knowledge and ability and didn't need to learn much from the first electronics courses at FSTC

Before I graduated I remember that I had been offered Membership to enter as a under-graduate student at National Association of Engineering Craftsmen (NAEC) Under the Council on Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria membership was somewhat more generous, Engineer Olatoye encouraging me to join NAEC and from the my point of view it seemed attractive professionally.

But while I am still at Ajao Estate High School, I took one elective course in "Government" and as a result of that exposure to government ideas and problems, arrived at the idea that led to my "Political Venture" And it was this idea which in turn, when I was a graduate student at AEHS, led to my interest in the Politic and Government, which had position me as the Agt. Publicity Secretary of my political party

As an under-graduate student I studied Computer fairly broadly and I was fortunate enough,

I went to LAKE-SIDE SYSTEMS LIMITED, in summer of 2002 as an "Industrial Training Student". Where I got my Diploma in Network Engineering, I had been a student at Compute-rite Professional Institute for Six month after-which i obtaining my Diploma in 2002.

It seemed desirable more for personal and social reasons than academic ones to accept the higher pay,  that eventually kept me at Lakeside systems ltd.

I was on the Engineering Department at Lakeside systems in 2002 through until I resigned in the spring of 2004.

Well marriage. Thats an issue of the for time to tell though I have plans toward that, if I eventually find the right person

.To be continued
